What do all those numbers mean on a Credit Card?

Do you get tired of asking your customers, is that a Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover Card? You may or may not already know, but you can tell the type of card by the first number of the credit card. All Credit Cards starting with a 3 are AMEX or Diner's Club, 4 is Visa, 5 is Mastercard, and 6 is Discover. So stop asking is that a ............ card, now you know what it is! :) That is just the first number, see what the other numbers mean in the article linked below.
